Structural Instrumentation for Transmission Towers in Malaysia

Geodaq model SS4 strain and motion sensors are being implemented for structural health monitoring of transmission towers in Malaysia.

  • Each SS4 measures change in strain as well as tower sway due to wind and seismic loading.
  • Temperature is also monitored to factor thermal expansion of the structural elements of the tower.
